I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial
Engineering from Arizona State University and
corresponding work experience in the semiconductor
industry. Prior to joining UMKC I also attained an
MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird
School of Global Management and participated in an
entrepreneurial effort to initiate a new start-up
company. I decided to pursue a PhD in
Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UMKC since its
research agenda, as evident by the extensive work of
its world renowned research faculty, closely aligns
with my prior experiences and long-term research and
teaching interests.

I have a background in electrical engineering and a
MBA from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. I
decided to pursue my PhD in entrepreneurship due to
its attractive multidisciplinary nature which gives
the chance to understand and apply concepts from
several fields of study. I joined UMKC, because it
is among very few universities that has a highly
research oriented PhD program fully dedicated to
entrepreneurship. Here I have the opportunity to
