KCSourceLink Connects Entrepreneurs to Needed Resources
Doug
Lobdell wanted
to patent, manufacture and sell his newly-developed
pet-grooming product, the Table Top Grooming Station.
The Olathe (Kansas) Chamber of Commerce, a resource partner,
referred him to KCSourceLink. One call to the hotline phone
number connected him to the help he needed.
KCSourceLink
recommended that Doug contact the Small Business Technology
Development Center at the University of Central Missouri for
trademark, patent and product packaging help, and the Small
Business Development Center at Johnson County Community
College provided sales tax and business counseling.
“Thanks
to the KCSourceLink referrals, I was able to turn my new
product into a business,” says Doug.
Amanda Mindham
is president and CEO of an established business, J&A Traffic

KCSourceLink’s recommendations led her to the
Kauffman
Foundation’s FastTrac Business Planning course and the
Kansas Women’s Business Center, where she participated in
the financial mentoring program.
Amanda rates
her KCSourceLink experience highly, noting,
"I knew where I wanted to go; KCSourceLink
