Here are some hot opportunities for students:
  • 2008 Global Student Entrepreneur Awards
    The "Heisman" for undergraduate student entrepreneurs, this global competition is open to any undergraduate student who is the owner or founder of a for-profit business that has been up and running for at least six months. A $1,000 cash prize is awarded to the person who nominates the student entrepreneur who wins First Place.     Nomination deadline: August 1, 2008 (but due to regional competitions, early nominations are encouraged)

  • Internship, Induro Cycling Studios, Inc.
    Induro Cycling Studios, a media and theater-enhanced fitness company, is looking for a 1 to 3 interns who share their passion for entrepreneurship. Interns should have studied sales, marketing, business management and/or communications. Tasks include data management, product marketing and sales, market (customer and competitive) research, investment procedures, business management, networking, business legalities for both physical and Web-based commerce, and financial management.

    Pay is negotiable and interns could become candidates for future hire. Interns should welcome the advantage of working in a high-paced, aggressive, start up that deals with a local and national market.
